In collaboration with the Al Salam Cycling Championship, HIPA is pleased to announce the 10th edition of the Al Salam Championship Cycling Photo Contest, celebrating the dynamic fusion of athletic excellence and artistic expression.
We invite professional and aspiring photographers to capture the adrenaline of the “Desert Race” as cyclists race through the stunning desert landscape.
Participants are encouraged to submit their photo(s) that truly capture the essence of this extraordinary race.

Rules
Please read these rules before submitting your photo(s) to the Al Salam Championship cycling photo contest in collaboration with HIPA. By participating, you understand, acknowledge and fully, irrevocably and unconditionally agree to abide and be bound by the following rules:
- The competition is open for online submissions only through the website https://hipa.ae/members/login .
- Submissions will be accepted from 3:30 pm on 31st January 2026 until 11:59 pm on 9th February 2026 (UAE Local Time – GMT +4). No submissions made after the closing time will be accepted.
- Participants must be individuals aged 18 years and over at the time of submission.
- Each participant may submit up to 3 photographs for this competition.
- Each participant must share the submitted photos on their Instagram account.
- All submitted photos must be taken during the period of the competition and must be from the Al Salam Championship; previously taken photos will not be accepted.
- Submitted photos must be original files in RAW or JPEG format, with high quality and resolution, a minimum file size of 5 MB, a minimum longest edge of 2000 pixels, and a resolution of no less than 300 dpi, suitable for publication.
- Submitted photos must not contain any tags, signatures, initials, frames, borders, logos, or any other references and/or marks added by the participant.
- Basic technical editing of the photo is acceptable, provided that such editing does not affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the photo.
- HIPA and Al Salam Championship Service reserve the right to assess and discard from the competition any submitted photo deemed contrary to the foregoing rules.
- Photos that portray or include inappropriate and/or offensive content, including nudity, violence, and/or any other content deemed contrary to UAE religious, cultural, and/or public morals, traditions, and practices will be disqualified.
- All photographers participating in the photography competition are requested to gather at the Al Salam Championship Village to attend the briefing session and receive all necessary instructions. The Village is located in Al Qudra area, Saih Al Salam (View on Google Maps). Directional signs will be placed along the Saih Al Salam Street to guide participants to the location.
- The briefing session will begin at 1:00 PM, and the race will start at exactly 2:00 PM.
- The Organizing Committee will provide buses to transport participating photographers along the desert race route. The use of private cars is strictly prohibited, and no special stickers or permits will be issued for photographers’ cars.
- Photography is allowed only from the side of the road, maintaining a distance of 5 to 10 meters from the racecourse to ensure the safety of the track, race vehicles, and the organizing committee.
- All photographers must comply with the instructions of Dubai Police and the race’s organizing committee.
- Drone use is permitted during the race according to the standards of the General Civil Aviation Authority. Flying is allowed only in designated green zones, which can be viewed through the DMS application.
