The Hamdan International Photography award has continued its international campaign of awareness by taking part in the reputed “Le salon de la photo” expo in the French capital Paris. The expo was held from the 8th to the 12th of November and played host to some of the biggest names and brands in the photography and imaging industries.
A delegation from the award has now set out for Egypt, where there will be introductory sessions held in the capital Cairo and the port city of Alexandria. These sessions hosted by the award are set to include some of Egypt’s most taleneted and esteemed photogrpahers as well as heads of various photgrpahic societies in the country.
Commenting on the latest developments by the award , the assistant Secretary General of HIPA Sahar Al Zarei added that “The introductory sessions in Egypt are set to present the award to some of Egypt’s most respected photography personalities and thus is a great opportunity to promote the award in this very important country. Egypt is the most populous Arabic country and is home to some of the most renowned photographers in the region , we hope to have them all on board”.
Al Zarei continued “we are set to have some of Egypt’s biggest media organisations covering our sessions which will give us maximum exposure and in turn more talented submissions in this year’s award. We expect many talented Egyptian photographers to take part in this year’s award and therefore want to share our vision with them here in Egypt”.
The Hamdan International photography award is set to boast the largest grand prize in the world worth $120,000 and a total prize pool of $389,000. In its first season of competition, the award attracted competitors from over 99 countries worldwide.
